This policy explains what personal information Magestican Studios (a trading name of Ultra Task Pty Ltd, ACN [to be inserted], hereafter "we" or "us") collects, why, and how you can exercise your rights over it. This policy is written to satisfy the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where our audience overlaps, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Short version
- This website (
magesticanstudios.com.au) is static. It has no login, no comment box, and no server-side code. It sets no cookies. - We do not use any third-party analytics on this site by default. If we later add privacy-preserving analytics (e.g. self-hosted Plausible), this policy will be updated before they go live and will name the tool.
- Our games do not phone home. They do not collect telemetry, do not require an account, and do not communicate with any server we operate.
- The only personal information we hold about you is what you have voluntarily emailed us (e.g. a bug report, a press enquiry). We keep those emails only as long as needed to reply.
What we collect
On this website: nothing. The site is served as static files. Your browser makes a request; our host (a static file provider) receives the request and responds with a file. Our host may keep short-lived access logs (typically IP address, requested URL, user-agent, timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share those logs, and we do not correlate them with any other information.
In our games: nothing that leaves your device. Game saves (world seed, progress) are written to a local save file on your own computer. We do not receive, upload, or read those saves.
When you email us: your email address and whatever you chose to send. We reply from the same address, retain the thread as long as needed to help you, and delete it afterwards.
What we do with it
- Emails: to reply to you.
- Host access logs: to detect abuse or diagnose site outages.
- Nothing else. We do not build profiles, we do not target ads.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets no cookies of its own and loads no third-party fonts or analytics scripts.
Third parties
The site is hosted by a static-file provider (currently expected to be Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages) that operates under its own privacy policy. If you follow an external link from our site or games (for example, to a game's store page on itch.io or Steam) the destination site handles your data under its own policy.
Children
Our games are suitable for a general audience but we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
You can ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you (typically: none, unless you have emailed us);
- to delete any emails you have sent us;
- to correct any information we hold about you.
Send those requests to the contact address published on our website. If we ever store personal information subject to the GDPR, EU residents also have the rights to portability, restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
