Licence

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Our games run in your browser, which means the JavaScript that runs them is delivered to your machine and you can read it with your browser's developer tools. That code is offered under the MIT Licence, reproduced in full below. In plain terms: use it, change it, ship it in something of your own, commercially if you like — keep the copyright notice, and understand that it comes with no warranty.

The licence

MIT License

Original Zelakas In Space (2014) team: Bryan Arbelo, Gonzalo, Christian.

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy
of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal
in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights

Trademarks

The following are trademarks of Ultra Task Pty Ltd (ABN 93 700 712 910), used in Australia and internationally in connection with video games and entertainment software:

These marks are claimed as unregistered ("common law") trademarks, which is why they carry ™ rather than ®. Registration with IP Australia is a separate step and none of these marks is registered at the date above; we will change ™ to ® on any mark once it is. Unregistered use does not make the claim empty — it is the basis for an action in passing off and under the Australian Consumer Law — but it is weaker than registration and narrower in scope.

Five of our word games were renamed in September 2026 — to Guesswise, Combword, Groupseek, Gridseek and Letterloft — precisely because their former names each borrowed a mark belonging to somebody else. We claim no rights in those former names and do not use them.

Third-party names used descriptively on this site remain the property of their owners. Our word and tile games are our own implementations, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the owners of any similarly-themed commercial game.

Copyright

Copyright in the games, the artwork, the music and this website is owned by Ultra Task Pty Ltd, except where a third party's work is used under licence and except for the 2014 Zelakas In Space release, which is credited to its original team. In Australia copyright arises automatically on creation and there is no register to file with — there is nothing to apply for, and anyone offering to "register your copyright" for a fee is selling you something you already have.

What the code licence does not cover

Where the source is

The code that runs the games is served by this site and readable in your browser. There is no public source repository at present — an earlier version of these pages said there was one, and linked to a repository that is private, which was simply wrong and is the reason this page exists.
